To ensure accurate weighment of coal being despatched all 23 railway sidings/captive sidings and 36 weigh bridges have been equipped with with electronic printout facility.
90 Road weigh bridges are in operation.
Feeder breakers and crushers installed to ensure 100% sizing of coal for supply to power houses.

ACTION TAKEN BY SECL TO MINIMISE COMPLAINTS

Continous monitoring of coal dispatches is being done to ensure all required precautionary measures are being taken at area level to improve coal quality

Regular and surprise inspection done by Quality control dept team to defaulting mines/sidings/areas to minimize complaints

Establishment of complaint redressal system at head quarter level with regular feedback to consumers of corrective action taken by the concerned area enabling quick disposal of complaints lodged.

About Quality

Assessment of quality is being done through –

Bi-lateral Joint Sampling at both Power house end & Loading points with AEC & GEB
Third Party Sampling at both Power Houses end & Loading points with MSEB ,PSEBand RSEB.
Bi-lateral Joint Sampling at Loading Points for CMA, GNFC & BALCO.
Third Party Sampling at Loading Points Bhilai Steel Plant (SAIL).
Bi-lateral Joint Sampling in respect of Pit Head P/Houses of NTPC ,CSEBand MPEB.

About Quantity

All the Sidings provided with Weighbridges with electronic print out facility.

Representatives of SEBs and other consumers are encouraged to supervise weighment.

Print out of all such weighment being submitted along with the coal bills.

Representatives of SEBs and other consumers are encouraged to put their remarks in Joint Inspection Registers kept at all the Sidings for the purpose.
